In May 2011 i was living the single life & didnt have an attachment in my life. I turned down the opportunity to go on dates with girls because i thought relationships were a waste of time.

One night i met a girl. It was a random night & im not sure why but i made sure she took my number. I dont normally give out my number but i remember typing my number into her iphone & really hoping she texted me like she said she would. I thought if she didn’t text me then ahh well, i was back were i was before that night.

When we organised to go on our first date to starbucks we really clicked. She was so easy to talk to & i really wanted to see her again. After a few dates i knew i wanted her to my girlfriend. She was cute, funny & really genuine.

When i was driving home the day i asked her to be my girlfriend, i couldn’t quite believe it was happening. All that time of being a single guy not looking for a relationship and within a few weeks i knew i wanted this girl to be my girlfriend. I just felt i couldn’t let her get away.

Pursuing this girl has been the best thing ive ever done. She has changed my life for the better and i couldnt be without her.

Everytime i hear the line at the top in ‘into your arms’ i always have a voice inside my head saying to me you really didnt expect all this to happen did you. It makes me smile thinking of how ive changed so much.

She’s made me fall in love with her. I never thought anything like this would happen to me but i just couldn’t help it.

I love her more than she’ll ever know. I wondered how can i fall in love with anyone. I realise now that you dont search for something like that. It just has to happen. It doesnt have to be forced. When the time is right, it just appears.

In 15 days time she will come to Australia to live with me. We will save up money for a few months then travel to North America. We will then travel home together to sunny Ireland.
